Support the Body During Seasonal Change

Updated: Feb 23

During this time of year, as the seasons begin to switch from summer to autumn, our body responds to the change in air pressure, temperature, humidity, and light levels. These changes can make the body more susceptible to an invasion of the elements, resulting in a cold or flu.

Acupuncture and herbal medicine can work to combat this very effectively, by stimulating the immune system to prevent entry of pathogens and to expel them if they have already entered. A practice that is common in Asian countries is to have 1-3 treatments at the change of the season - enough to prepare the body for these environmental changes and give us the best chance of staying healthy through the beginning of autumn and into winter.
